When you are feeling lazy (or you are just lazy), here is a dessert for you. It is super easy and tastes like creme caramel.
Start with eggs, vanilla extract and whole milk. You can use 2% if you want to cut down the fat, but it wont be as creamy and rich.
Beat all ingredients together and put into a microwave safe bowl.
Heat on medium heat setting for 12-18 min or until set. The very center might look a little watery but that is ok. The custard will also still be jiggly.
Cool and refrigerate.
Serve with maple syrup. Or enjoy plain.
Microwave Custard
- 3 eggs
- 1.5 cups whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Place all ingredients in a bowl and beat well. Pour into a microwave safe bowl. Heat on medium heat setting for 12-18 min or until set. The very center might look a little watery but that is OK. The custard will also still be jiggly. Cool and put in the fridge. Eat alone or drizzle with maple syrup. This recipe is great for babies and toddlers too since you don’t add sugar to the custard.
