Banofee Pie

Banofee Pie is an English pie filled with banana, toffee and cream. Here is my version of the pie which includes instant pudding, bananas, dulce de leche and store bought pie crusts.

Its a pretty easy pie but can be time consuming if you are making everything from scratch. I usually use packaged vanilla pudding.

Make the vanilla pudding following the instructions on the box. To lighten up the pudding. I used an entire 437mL carton of whipping cream.

Make the whipped cream using the whipping cream, 1 Tbsp vanilla extract and 3 Tbsp of powdered sugar.

Beat the whipping cream until it is fluffy and forms defined peaks.

Mix about 1/2 of the whipped cream into cooled pudding. The rest of the whipped cream will be used for the topping.

The other pie includes dulce de leche and ripe bananas. Check out the blog if you want to learn to make easy dulce de leche.

Pre-bake and cool some store bought pie crust. In the pie crust, spread a layer of dulce de leche. Splice 3 bananas and spread them on the dulcede leche. On top of the banana, pour and spread the pudding. On top of the pudding spread some whipped cream. To finish off the pie, grate some dark chocolate. Serve chilled! Enjoy.
