Tea Hot Chocolate

I loved trying different types of coffee recipes but this year I want to try something different. I decided I wanted to try different hot chocolate recipes. The first two that I want to try are using teas as a base. I have seen recipes for Earl Grey infused hot chocolate and Lavender hot chocolate.

The first step will be steeping your tea.

I decided to buy hot chocolate mix that just needed water since I wanted an easy way to add tea.

When the tea is done, mix in your hot chocolate powder to taste.

What does this taste like? The Earl Grey and Lavender tea both have floral notes which I think complement the rich chocolate flavor.

The Earl Grey has a citrus flavor that made the hot chocolate taste like chocolate covered orange. The Lavender tea elevated the hot chocolate and made the hot chocolate taste fancy. I think this was a nice variety for a hot drink. I will definitely try more types.
