I started buying hummus for wraps for lunch but I realized that I could easily make my own. When you look up ingredients and recipes, you wouldn’t believe that it was that easy.
There are a variety of different hummus flavours and recipes online. This is a simple cilantro hummus. To make this hummus you will need 1 can of chickpeas. Try to get cans that contain less salt. Add one to two cloves of garlic.
Hummus also contains tahini which is ground up sesame seeds. You will need 1/4 cup of tahini for this recipe.
I don’t like measuring out my herbs. I usually go by feel and taste. I added a generous handful of cilantro.
Finally add 2 Tbsp olive oil and blend everything together. Depending on your consistency, add a few Tbsp of water to thin out your hummus.
To serve, drizzle some olive oil to the top. Serve with fresh veggies, in wraps or chips. Enjoy!
Ingredients
