Roasted Radishes and Turnips

This year I wanted to be more adventurous with what I ate so I decided to purchase a veggie box with Odyssey Market Garden in Surrey, BC. My first box came with some radishes and turnips. At first I didn’t know what to do with them but I did some research and found a recipe for roasted radishes and turnips. I gave that a shot!

The radishes and turnips had green tops so I saved them to make a quick stir fry. They are also great to add some greens into any meals.

First cut the radishes and turnips in half. Coat them with olive oil, salt, pepper and a generous shake of garlic powder.

Roast the turnips and radishes in a 400 degree oven for about 45-50 minutes or until they look shrivelled and brown.

These are easy to make and perfect as a side dish. You can even try it on a salad!
