The good old can of Chef Boyardee. How can you go wrong? It is an easy go to meal for those busy people or those on a budget. I will teach you how to cook it and spice it up for your guests.
First open the can and dump it into a sauce pan. Turn the stove top to medium heat. Stir to prevent the noodles from burning. Keep stirring until the sauce bubbles and the noodles are hot.
Pour into a bowl and serve. How many times have you done this? Do the result look like this? A horrible mess! This is not right. Not acceptable to serve your guest. I will show you the proper way of cooking a can of Chef Boyardee.
This method is a the best way that I have found to cook these tasty noodles. All you need to do is place the noodles into a microwavable bowl. Cover with a plate or paper towel. You don’t want to splatter everywhere. There is no stirring involved and you get beautiful hot whole noodles. A much better presentation.
Now to make this even fancier. Add some veggies. Don’t worry, always have some frozen peas and corn in the freezer just in case an unexpected guest comes over. It adds some much needed color. Place the peas and corn into the bowl just before you microwave it. Stir gently so you that do not mush up the noodles.
For presentation add some leftover salad and find some herbs in the community garden. Voila! A beautiful gourmet version of the simple can of Chef Boyardee. This will impress any of your friends. They won’t know that this came from a can!
