This is a really snack that is great for a movie night or rainy day. It is really simple and different. I first learned about this snack a year ago when I went to Hawaii as it is a popular snack there. Although I didn’t buy any hurricane popcorn there I still wanted to make it. I hope this tastes like the real thing, I will need to go find it in a store and try it out.

To make hurricane popcorn. You will need some popcorn, Furikake seasoning and some rice crackers.

Follow the instructions on your popcorn package.

To the hot popcorn, add 3 tablespoons of Furikake seasoning and mix well.

The hot popcorn will help the seasoning stick. Alternatively, you can add some melted butter to help the seasoning stick.

Give the popcorn a taste, and add more seasoning to your liking.

Add some rice crackers. I think I like about a 4 to 3 ratio of popcorn to rice crackers. But feel free to add as much or little as you like.

Mix well and enjoy.

Hurricane Popcorn.
- one bag of popcorn (about 4 cups)
- 3 cups of Japanese rice crackers
- 3 tablespoons of Furikake Seasoning
Pop the popcorn in the microwave, 2-3 mins. Add the Furikake seasoning to the hot popcorn and toss. Add the seasoning while the popcorn is hot to help it stick. Add your rice crackers and mix well.
Enjoy
