Review: Hi Genki

Hi Genki is a hidden gem in Burnaby. It is located in a Nikkei Senior Home. They serve authentic Japanese cuisine in a  cafeteria type setting. Upon entering the senior home, you would not have suspected it would be a restaurant. The only hint is the line up of patrons patiently waiting for seats.

Large groups are not recommended as it is hard to get seats. Even with two, you have to be patient and wait. The wait is worth it because the food is fresh and delicious. We ordered a bento box and their karaage chicken. The chicken was perfectly done and crispy.

Hi Genki has a variety of dishes on the menu and is reasonably priced. If you can be patient with the wait, it is worth going to this gem.
