Okay, how many of you like trying to find the ultimate homemade snack that is quick and easy to make? I do! Actually I don’t know what I was looking for on Pinterest but I stumbled across this… fried cheerios. Yes it sounds weird. But it was worth a try.
How simple is it? Well all you need is butter and Cheerios. Yup that is it.
If you want to be fancy add some seasoning to it. You can try just plain salt, or some popcorn seasoning. And ta da you have your easy snack.
I thought it tasted pretty good but would be better with a little salt. I didn’t add any to mine. The Cheerios almost tasted like popcorn and boy it did satisfy my salty snack cravings. I might also try a sweet version of this recipe for those times you want a sweet treat.
Fried Cheerios

- 1/8 cup butter
- 2 cups Cheerios
- seasoning of your choice
Melt the butter in a pan and add the Cheerios. I put my heat to high but should have but it on medium high since it browned really quickly. Stir until the Cheerios get browned, about 3-5 minutes. You can add salt, garlic powder or any popcorn seasoning to the Cheerios.
Now turn on Netflix and munch away.
