St Paddy’s Day is just around the corner and you know what that means. Green everything! and you know what everyone drinks on St Paddy’s day except me? Green beer. So this year I decided to join the festivities and make green ginger beer. Well the easiest way would be to add green food coloring but nope I saw a recipe for Matcha ginger beer and I had to try it out.
Take your favorite ginger beer and add 1 tsp Matcha powder to it. I added the Matcha powder and mixed it with a little ginger beer to dissolve it into to a paste.
Then I poured in the rest of the ginger beer. It foamed up nicely and looked so pretty. It tasted alright. Mostly of ginger beer and a little matcha kick. I enjoyed that it wasn’t bitter because of how sweet the ginger beer was. I would do this again. And now I can feel like I am drinking green beer. 🙂 Now someone try mixing Matcha with real beer! Matcha Ginger Beer
- 1 bottle of ginger beer
- 1 tsp of Matcha powder
Mix a small amount of ginger beer with the Matcha powder to dissolve it into a paste. Pour in the rest of the ginger beer. Watch out, it does foam up.
