Lazy, Easy and Quick 4 Ingredient Granola Cereal

Lately I have been addicted to yogurt, cereal and fruit or berries.  The trouble with my special diet is that I try to avoid anything with white sugar (cane sugar).  Unfortunately most cereal is filled with white sugar.  I decided to make my own granola.  We already have a recipe online for homemade granola but it I wanted an easier recipe that could be made in 20 minutes.

For this recipe, all you need is oatmeal, coconut oil, honey and walnuts.  This is a basic recipe which you can use and create your own granola.  Try adding shredded coconut, dried fruit, other nuts, hemp seeds etc. Check out the homemade granola recipe for ideas!

Toss the oatmeal and nuts onto a baking sheet.  Toast at 350 degrees for about 10-15 minutes until the oatmeal start browning lightly.  Stir every 5 minutes to make sure the oatmeal doesn’t burn.

After about 10-15 minutes, add melted coconut oil and honey to the oatmeal.  Stir well.

The oatmeal will start clumping together. Spread the oatmeal on the tray. Try not to press down on the oatmeal.  You want to keep the granola light and fluffy. Place back into the oven and turn it off.  Leave the granola in the oven for about 10 minutes.  Remove granola from the oven and cool to room temperature.  Store the granola in an airtight container.

Enjoy with yogurt or just as a snack.
