Lately I have been trying to eat healthier and add more protein and veggies into my diet. My go to vegetable is steamed broccoli. Its boring but works for most of our meals. I recently discovered a simple yet delicious way to add flavor to our veggies… miso butter. Yes it is that simple. Butter and miso.

Miso butter can be made ahead and stored in your fridge for 2 weeks and used for many things not just sauteed veggies. You can use it on your meats, toast, pasta. Anything that you want to add a little more flavor to.
Miso butter is simple to make. Just soften some butter and add some miso. I used white miso paste as the flavor is mild. Mix well and store in a container in the fridge.

Today I used the miso paste to make some sauteed kale from my garden.
First add some oil to a pan and begin to wilt the kale. Add the miso butter and some crushed garlic and saute for about 3-5 min or until the kale is tender.

Enjoy these tasty greens.
