Waffles

I love breakfast foods and waffles has to be one of my favorites. It is definitely a staple in our household. This recipe requires a waffle maker but is super easy to make and freezes well!

In a mixing bowl, add 2 cups flour, 4 teaspoon baking powder, 2 tablespoon sugar, and1 teaspoon salt. In a separate container, mix together the wet ingredients (1/2 cup melted butter, 2 eggs and 1 1/2 cup milk).

Slowly combine the wet and dry ingredients and let it stand for about 10 minutes. While waiting for the ingredients to settle, heat up the waffle maker. I set it for high heat to get an extra crispy outside. It also helps keeps the inside moist.

When the waffle maker is heated up, add a scoop of batter and let it cook. The waffles can be toasted again for a crisp finish or eaten as is. Once cooled, they store well in the freezer for up to a month.
