I love biscuits because they can be savory or sweet. But mostly because they are super simple to make.

For this recipe you will need butter, buttermilk, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar.

Pre-heat the oven to 425 degrees. In a bowl, add your flour salt, sugar, baking powder and baking soda. Mix well. Add your cold butter and break it up into pea sized pieces.


Then add your buttermilk.

Mix until you get a shaggy dough. You will still see chunks of butter.

Roll the dough out until it is 1 inch thick.

Cut into squares.

Place on a tray and butter the tops of each biscuit.

Reduce temperature to 400 Degrees and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.

Enjoy as a side to your meals.

- 3 1/2 cup flour
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup cold unsalted butter cut into pieces

Turn down the oven heat until 400 degrees and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the biscuits become golden brown. Enjoy.
