One of my favorite dishes is mac and cheese and it tastes even better when you don’t have to cook it yourself. Just get your little minion to do it. (Well I did have to help boil the pasta)

For this recipe you only need three ingredients (well the fourth is optional): pasta, plain yogurt and cheese. For extra flavor I recommend adding chicken bouillon.

If your little one likes cooking, this recipe is super simple to make and a great start to making a meal. Have them grate some cheese for you. I love using old cheddar and the taste is stronger and will make your mac and cheese taste cheesier.

For this recipe, I used an instant pot. I put it in saute mode. It not only is safer for you kids, but you can also make this recipe without a kitchen. In the instant pot, boil the pasta in salted water for about 7-8 minutes. Then drain and set aside. Using the saute mode for the instant pot, pour in the yogurt, cheese and chicken bouillon.

Stir until the cheese is melted. It shouldn’t take that long.

The sauce will look lumpy but will smooth out as the pasta cooks.

Pour in the pasta and stir well. Serve right away. As the pasta cools, the cheese will start to look lumpy but the mac and cheese will still taste great.

Easy Mac and Cheese
Recipe adapted from: https://www.sungrownkitchen.com/8-minute-mac-cheese-for-kids/
- 2 cups pasta
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt. I used 10% MF.
- 1 1/3 cup cheese
- 1 tsp of chicken bouillon
Boil the pasta in salted water for 7-8 minutes. Drain and set aside. In the pot on medium heat, heat together the yogurt, cheese and bouillon. When the cheese starts to melt, add in the macaroni and mix well. Serve right away but it is great for leftovers.
Enjoy. If you liked this recipe: Recipe List
